NE Paranormal Investigates: The Bell Witch an American Legend
The Bell witch is a famous haunting in America which took place in 1817 - when a strange encounter was noticed by John Bell. He had just moved to Tennessee, America as he was a farmer and he owned multiple lands. Now owning this land, him and his family hoped to settle down here.
However. one night when he was working, he noticed a strange looking animal in his field that he had never seen before. Following this sighting, multiple paranormal events began to unfold.
These included; knocking on the walls, hearing the dragging of chains across the floor, bed sheets being pulled from them when in bed, hearing spirit talking, physical attacks,an intelligent voice and much more. But weirdly, not only was the phenomena experienced by the Bell family but people who visited the property noticed the paranormal incidents happening.
NE Paranormal has decided to investigate this case from a paranormal, psychological and psychic mediumship approach. I wanted to meet the spirits behind this investigation and come to a conclusion myself. Instantly, I began to notice black magic and noticed multiple entities. But I feel there was some occurrence on this land before the Bell family moved in - especially witchcraft and religion.
Using a spirit box to work alongside my mediumship, I decided to bring in spirit so I could obtain a better understanding, hoping to bring in a spirit involved in the case. As I sat down to channel, I instantly saw the entity that John Bell saw that night, it was goat-like in appearance and was very jumpy and could jump high. Another, looked similar to a golliwog, but had a huge feather head band on. But I do not believe John Bell saw the entity that night as a physical creature and you will see why when you watch the full spirit box and mediumship session. Conclusion
I did not feel there was much to this case as spirit was trying to lead me down - they were attempting to say he had been murdered. To be honest, the story was going off track. But this is just malicious spirits trying to feed the narrative and make people scared as this is what they want, people to fear them so they can obtain fuel and their grandiose boxes are being ticked. As a psychic, I can pick up their energy and this is what I was channelling from them. It is not always apparent this is happening in the sessions and it looks like I am dismissing. But it is very important I do this so the true picture is not being jeopardised into a fear based propaganda.
Instantly, in my psychic mediumship senses, I felt he committed suicide as he was in a huge amount of physical pain. I do not believe his death was via supernatural causes as the legend states so clearly in its tale.
The most famous identity attributed to the entity is Kate Batts, a neighbour of the Bells.
The traditional story claims that Batts believed John Bell had cheated her in a land transaction and that she subsequently cursed him and his family. Later versions of the legend therefore identify the supernatural presence as the spirit of Kate Batts.
But I did not get this sense at all, instead I saw John Bell was a psychic medium himself and he was terrified of his senses due to him being highly religious and people around him being this way. He felt outcast and tried to suppress what he was seeing which was only giving the entities fuel from his terror. The trauma also made him and his family more focused on what they believed to be a threat. I feel there was more than one spirit in this case and they were enjoying tricking and winding up John Bell and his family as they feel good when people are scared of them, it gives them power.
Overall, this case was a short investigation as I received a totally different perspective of this story rather than dragging it out. Listening to spirit would have only meant the story would have taken numerous directions which I believe unnecessary, as it simply did not happen. I am listening to my instinct on this occasion rather than cackling spirits who enjoy misleading.
