At NE Paranormal investigations, we always try to draw source upon primary information rather than secondary, this is why I conduct my primary spiritual research from a spirit box and original records and secondary from psychic mediumship and previous research findings.

01 August 2026 - Research conducted using psychic mediumship, historic research and spiritbox.

This session was very special to me because it was the first session where I felt I had produced some relevant information towards the case. It was only day one!! My intentions were to record this session, but it appeared the spirit may have other plans as the video recording did not save on my computer device. Luckily, I recorded the session via journal also. Using my mediumship and spirit box combined, here is what followed: 

Immediately in my psychic senses, I recognised a lady with me she was slightly overweight and was standing with a walking stick. She did not stay around long, before a new spirit came into my awareness, it was a thin tall man with a top hat on.

A channelled vision also became very clear to me, it was a steel pan and it looked like something was cooking, I saw blood also. I instantly got the sense of a cannibal. 

Interviewer: Who was the killer? 

Spirit box: Black... Joseph.... I had an injury... 

In my mediumship sense, I was presented with golden jewellery such as an ear ring and large rings. I felt the killer who was presenting as being very tormented in the head. 

He showed me a channelled vision of pulling a ladies hair. Did he like to pull hair - did he actually have sexual intercourse with these women? Reflecting upon this, it has been debated for the past century if the killer did have sex with them; 

• The post-mortem examinations did not provide evidence that sexual intercourse had taken place immediately before the murders.

• There was no confirmed evidence of rape in the canonical five murders.

• The murders involved extensive mutilation, leading many researchers to suggest that the violence itself may have been the primary expression of the killer's impulses, rather than sexual intercourse.

Because the identity of Jack the Ripper has never been established, we cannot know his exact motivations. Researchers have proposed various possibilities, including:

• Sexual sadism.

• Misogyny.

• A compulsion linked to power and control.

• Psychopathology.

• Other motivations that cannot now be determined.

Spirit box: I am around the water.... *channel* - A man smacking a lady across the face, she then falls to the floor. 

This communication was interesting as Montague Druitt was school teacher. Not long after the killings he jumped into the river and drowned to death - his body was found floating in the river. It was suggested he was following in his mothers footsteps on the border of insanity. But it is also worth nothing, he lost his job in November 1888 (this is when the killings suddenly stopped). He worked as a teacher for a boarding school called Eliot Place at Blackheath (note the spirit box said black up above). 

It is worth noting, when his body was found there was a suspicious amount of cash and gold found next to his body. Notably, he was not known for having huge fortunes and was left barely anything from his father's estates. Which brings the next topic. He was also described as being over 6 foot tall and very thin frame, just like I channelled. 

However, Michael Ostrog, another suspect, moved overseas a lot and was well travelled. There is more on him further down.

Mediumship channel: I channelled a man with dirty hands, signalling the person worked with dirty hands. This makes me wonder if I was being brought back to Montague Druitt again as his father was a surgeon. This suggests that Montague would have had some knowledge about surgical operations, extractions and the sorts. 

Spirit box: Secrets surrounding death... we remember him.... closer than ever.... I am burried... Water... Victoria (queen at the time).... Ashleigh.... Anton.... James.... Mark.... go to church.... Drowned.... 1850.... Mark.... Mark.... 

For the purpose of evidence, I obtained quite a lot from this session alone but I knew a lot more investigation had to be done to get a good detail on this investigation. More so, I am very disappointed this session was found to be nowhere on my device one the recording stopped. Moving forward, I will stay away from recording on my laptop and move over to a platform where the video is known to be saved on the social media.

Spirit box: Little girl sings...

Montague did work with children as he worked in a boarding school. Which came to an end on 11 December 1888 as he found himself in 'serious trouble' with the boarding school. 

This certainly brings up a new lead for the investigation as Montague Druitt did not survive until the 1900s nor was he hung. BUT, he was found with extra money AND golden jewellery upon his death. Why would he randomly have these in his pockets, especially if his intentions were to kill himself? 

More so. his mother, Annie did have darker hair. She ended up in a mental asylum in July 1888, just one month before the killings started happening. Even more interestingly, as mentioned above, the killings ended in December 1888, the last victim was murdered in November 2026. 

Lets take a further investigation into his mother, their relationship and his upbringing: 

What sparks interest in his mother's admission into an asylum is she has a middle class life and was well looked after. What was it that was making her feel depressed? 

Her husband William Druitt passed away in July 1888, the same month she was admitted to an asylum. It is likely she felt suicidal and depressed following his death. 

Upon researching, there is not much information that details Montague's upbringing. But it was noted upon the spirit box, the spirit who was channelling was 'treated well'.. I assume this is meant in life.

Spirit Box Communication Day 3

Following last night's investigation on Jack the Ripper and a shocking revelation I wanted to dig deeper and do some further exploration. More so around the suspect's childhood and personality so I could start to get a bigger picture. 

Basically following last night's investigation, I wanted to rule out this killer being murdered. Was it possible the last killing was too much and he was about to be caught? Or was he becoming slightly psychotic with the deaths. His final murder on Mary Jane was the most gruesome and it happened under the catchment area of City of London police rather than The Metropolitan Police which was previous victims police force. 

I decided to do some of my own mediumship channelling, here is what came to me; 

As I began to channel, a lot of different visions appeared -  mainly surrounding the murder. A man came through but he was different from the spirit or suspect I had been channelling for the past few days. This gentleman was round, had balding hair, a top hat and was very friendly, there was a woman with him who was very shy to come forward. The man was wearing a shirt and suit pants, I had a feeling he may have been a detective. He took his hat off and waved at me. The following then came forth to me, light blue eyes, a dark long jacket cotton material, a walking stick again, children, especially a little girl in pigtails, a dark haired man with blood on his teeth and a roman nose, clock on the wall, leather gloves, a man reading the newspaper (a skinny tall man with a devious look on his face), a dark green settee. 

04 August 2026 - Research conducted using psychic mediumship, historic research and spirit box.

Spirit Box Communication day 4 

Today is the final day of the investigation and there were some revelations that drew back upon the previous day that suggests this may have been a cover up. 

As the session started, the name Smith came up... and at the end of the session, the name Bill followed. Now this may be a coincidence but PC William (sometimes shortened to Bill) was the police officer on patrol the night the double murder of Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes were murdered. He also saw Elizabeth standing with a gentleman who had a dark coat on,  was around 5'7 in height, well dressed and wearing a hat. The Police officer thought nothing of it so he walked on by.

Additionally, when I asked whether Montague killed the women the name 'Michael' was put forward. The only Michael involved in this case was another suspect called Michael Ostrog who was a Russian-born conman and thief who was listed as a suspect. He was known to hide his presentation behind multiple identities to con people and commit fraud. However, the evidence linking him to the killings was very weak as he was apparently imprisoned in France during the killings. 

During this session, it was very strong in my psychic mediumship senses that he was a cannibal. It was felt through the entire investigation that the killer had deep mother wounds, which he refers to 'left' when asked. I also channelled him looking at his hands which were covered in blood, with fear, he was almost shaking, but there was a need and an urge to kill that was stronger. However, later in the video the spirit confessed there was a financial situation involved. So perhaps it was money rather than a mother wound that caused him to kill. 

Conclusion 

Reflecting back on Montague Druitt, there is no evidence on record that he had a horrible childhood but he did have several siblings. More so, it is likely his father would have been busy with work meaning he could have felt left out at times. Was it possible he was expecting to get more money from his father when he passed over as there were financial burdens on his back. In 1888 people could get into debt, there was also a heavy stigma around people who had poor finances. 

Numerous times throughout the sessions, it was obvious that he was subtly exposing there was more than one person involved, in session 4, the killer referred to 'we' when I asked who the murderer was. More so, the killer mentioned on the spirit box in this session, the murders were a retaliation. At the time of the killings, Queen Victoria was on the throne. But her Son Edward VII was a known playboy, he was well known for having numerous mistresses throughout his marriage to Alexandra in 1841. During one of the sessions, the name Lilly was mentioned and she just happened to be found as one of his mistresses. But why weren't his other mistresses killed if it was a cover up? 

Some 'conspiracy theories' as they call it, around the time of the killings and afterwards, were linked to Edward VII being involved in the killings. However, historians disregard this due to lack of evidence. 

On day 3 of the spirit box, it also sounded like he was accused of being mental. On day 4 he mentioned the word 'push' was it possible he was pushed into the river? Or could he have been pushed to murder those women? They were unable to rule out which day Montague died never mind the time. Was it that he met with someone late at night and was pushed where no one would see him. There were found to be stones in his pockets, which may have easily been removable if they were put in his pocket by someone else. But, the shock of water can make one panic enough, they forget about any stones and the nervous system can instead go into shock, flight or fight. 

He was also not known to have a complicated personality either that would indicate he was a psychopath. 

There is no autopsy report nor was one ever produced. When he was found his body was so badly decomposed, it would have been impossible to get a wider picture of what had happened in the days before his murder such as, did he have alcohol in his system that would have made it harder to fight back in water. 

Another suspect was Aaron Kosminski, his DNA was apparently found on Catherine Eddowes scarf, but this is not enough evidence to rule him out as he may have slept with prostitutes. However, I am not convinced he slept with any prostitute from the records of him suggesting he was disgusted by them and had a grudge against women. He was later declared insane and spent the majority of his end days in an asylum. 

This also brings us to our third suspect Michael Ostrog who also happened to be clinically insane. It was noted he was in an aslyum in France at the time of the murders during August 1888 and November 1888. However, looking at further records, it appeared that it was widely debated by forensics whether this was true. If you listen to the spirit box in session 4, he says the name 'Michael' when asked his name. It was also in my mediumship on day number 2 that the killer like to play pretence and hide his true image with walking sticks and glasses. There was also no strong evidence of any links to Whitechapel during the murders.

Michael often referred to stealing and conning to get money, could he have been persuaded to kill those women for financial goods as he mentioned, there was finance involved? He was released from prison in 1904 following theft of a microscope in London, then there is no more information about him following. the spirit box declared he was hung. He spent so much  of his time in prison, suggesting he did not hide his crimes very well, so how could it be possible he can hide those murders? Perhaps there was some undercover work went on as the spirit box did mention 'smith' and 'bill' - PC William Smith, is it possible he was involved in some type of cover up?

He was also well travelled, having originally been brought up in Russia, then went on to travel around Europe in his adolescence. It makes sense Michael would say he 'was well travelled' as he did travel significantly and ended up in prisons in different countries due to the frauds he was committing. When reviewing photos of him, it appears he has the roman nose I saw in my vision. 

When I channelled the killer again, I felt I was constantly in the energy of someone who had a lot of gold jewellery (which he was known to thieve). Additionally, he had many aliases Michael Ostrog (b. 1833) a.k.a. Bertrand Ashley, Claude Clayton (Cayton), Dr. Grant, Max Grief Gosslar, Ashley Nabokoff, Orloff, Count Sobieski, Max Sobiekski, et alia: One one of the spirit box recordings, the name 'Ashley' is mentioned a few times. According to one source, he was released from prison in March 1888 and was then imprisoned again in Paris on 18 November 1888 (Casebook: Jack the Ripper, n.d). 

It is no wonder the investigation into this case remains a puzzle piece, there is just so much information that appears to be missing. A lot of evidence such as the coroner report is no longer available along with other pieces of primary source. There is also no lead to what happened to Michael's death or where he ended up when he left prison in 1904. If he was a leading suspect, why was his whereabouts following his release not recorded? It may be possible he was hung in a different country for crimes. 

The purpose of this research was to contribute spiritual elements of this with a touch of psychology to speak with the killer directly using the amazing advancement in technology today - a spirit box. I also wanted to add a touch of my mediumship to add to the evidence. I was not really familiar with any of the suspects until I started drawing up a conclusion. But I never dismiss what information I do channel as it feels totally different to that of imagination and it has a tendency to just appear out of nowhere rather than drawing up an imaginary picture. 

It did bring up a lot of information that was evident and did bring a new light into this investigation. Current research in history and forensic investigations can only be determined by what evidence is available but it appears this may never be recovered as a lot of it has been lost or was never produced in the first place. Such considerations that this was a set up will always remain as a conspiracy theory, but it is possible some evidence may have been purposely hidden or missed out completely and disregarded as irrelevant so it never made it to the detectives office. 

Perhaps future researchers or revisits can make use of the information shared in these findings. For now, it is not leaving much closure providing the evidence we do have at the moment. For example, the killer mentioned the name Joseph but there were multiple Joseph's involved such as Mary Jane's partner, there was also a witness called Joseph who provided crucial information to the police at the time.
